Man and Wife

Well the day felt like it would never come, but it sure did come and was so special! The weather was unusually warm for December and pretty much everything went according to plan. And best of all I get to be married to my best friend! I am still trying to get used to the adjustment of a new home, new things, and a new roommate ;) but overall I feel so blessed and the adjustment has been fun.

We haven't been able to post because we have been so busy since the big day. After the wedding we left for the Dominican republic where we stayed until Christmas Eve. Then we flew home and stayed home with my family for Christmas. Then 3 days later we left for Indiana to be with Lew's family for 4 days. Then finally on New Years Eve we came home exhausted and sick with colds. Gratefully we got sick after the wedding and not before like everyone else!

So here we are finally married. Lew had to go back to work yesterday and I have just been trying to get myself organized and unpacked. Our place is looking good but I still have a lot of boxes to empty and get organized (not my best or favorite task) but I am just taking it a little at a time. As soon as I get settled I will take some pictures of our little home and post them.
We haven't gotten our professional photos yet, but here are some that people have sent us:

My sister (matron of honor) gave a toast that made me cry. Thank you Hannah, this was so meaningful to me!

Best man's (my brother Jeremy) toast. Jer thanks for all that you did for us, even with very little sleep due to working night shift you were still the best best man ever!

and honeymoon pictures:

This is us in the lobby at the resort. They were all decorated for Christmas

This is us on Paradise Island. We went snorkeling there and the water was beautiful, but the weather was not, it rained off and on all day.

What a good reader! Lew read 1 1/2 books while we were away ;)

This is Lew on our balcony. We had the most amazing view. You can see the Ocean to the left and we could see most of the resort from our room.

We were able to go horseback riding through a mountain trail. It was so much fun, it took me a while to get over the fear of going fast because I thought I would fall off! But once I got the hang of it I didn't want to get off.

A few friends we met on our trip

Yup, another friend we met. We're weird, I know.

Well we will soon be back to our regular posting. We will also plan to post some more pictures when we get them.

Oh yeah Buddies,

Congratulations! Lew, you are looking far more studly now than back in the days when we had many misadventures togethers, like going to Moody together and then South Bend accidentally (still ashamed).

Jennifer and I are very happy for you both.
